Captain Camo’s Baked Jalapeno Fillet Appetizer
2-4 medium trout, redfish, or drum fillets
1 jar Candy Krisp Jalapenos from HEB Plus Stores
1 container of whipped cream cheese
¼ cup orange marmalade
2 Tbs soy sauce
¼ tsp garlic powder
1 Tbs oyster sauce
Make deep scores in fillets without cutting through, spaced about one inch apart.
Insert Candy Krisp Jalapeno slices into slices.
Spread whipped cream cheese across each fillet.
In bowl; mix orange marmalade, garlic powder, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Pour over fillets.
Bake at 400 for 20 minutes; thinner fillets may take less time.
Place fillets on serving dish and drizzle caramelized sauce from baking dish over fillets.
Serve with your favorite hors d’oeuvre crackers.
